Enabling/disabling systemd services is done via managing symlinks. Unfortunately, when disabling a service in systemd, it follows and remove symlinks which can remove your symlinked service files.

I love Nix, but I wish there were a way to easily install packages without having sudo access. Programs like pip only need a '--user' flag, while Nix requires you to use chroot magic[1] to be able to install packages in your home

Fantastic news! My major gripe with SQLite was that it didn't support recursion (and subsequently had to move to a different database despite filling all of my other requirements); I'm glad to see this is no longer the case.

Piracy doesn't offer automatic updates, cloud saves, (usually) multiplayer, support when the game breaks, and a guarantee of not containing malware. I'm obviously using Steam as an example here, given the context.

Not really, the problem lies in its naming. Comments that explain what the variables represent signify that they should have been better named in the first place to avoid any confusion.
