> compelling novel game loops Tell that to the mountain of failed AI slop games on Steam! As a game dev, building compelling, fun games is not even something humans are good at doing consistently. The AI can build the tech, but it can&#x

It's not really a moral issue, it's simply the definition of the word. Using an incorrect term to describe yourself knowing it is incorrect can be perceived as virtue-signaling or claiming your own moral superiority. For example,

We have never had issues finding members. Posting public information about them is a way to draw more attention which goes against the whole ecosystem. I stand by my statement.

Indeed, not sure why you are being downvoted. Contribute to open source with the energy you have to call out missing features.

Real life isn't just "the shitty version from China", especially in 2026. Some of their products are better, some are worse. Nearly _all_ of our clothing comes from Asia, from low to high-end brands. I'm saying there

Not sure if you mean the solution, or the problem they were trying to solve. The problem is the cost here is paid by a group of volunteers, no? It's objectively reducing capacity for a really important public project by 20%. If you

This is why free trade is important. We had a decent setup where countries were specializing in their own manufacturing/services specialties, and then we all paid each other for what we needed. Then some greedy fools decided they neede

> If your cache is that big it isn't a cache. This is an incorrect statement. Caches do not have a requirement of being smaller than their source data set. CDN is an example of a cache that generally matches the size of the source d

Hard disagree. It is not standard in many parts of the world, it is the cultural identity of many places, and the costs and logistics of changing everything around the world would be asinine. Language is also sovereignty. On a more personal

Postgres also has many advantages over SQLite. Supporting more than 1 writer per process. Strict typing. Access controls. Replication at scale is more effecient than copy-pasting files (seems SQLite has improved on this one).

I feel like it's a "cast a wide net" type of strategy. Doesn't really hurt to ask and there _could_ be the tiniest hint that could lead to something. Maybe?

You're still talking about Slack here? Or some other large tech companies? It's rare that 22 year old devs are leading anything at orgs that size. The reason their quality is higher is because the business enforces quality control
