Today we prompt software developers to "think about ways to improve AI's architecture" and it results in AI getting better. AI over the last year has made very rapid gains in filling the role of a software developer.

If outside observers could watch the astronaut clearly, the astronaut would look like they're slowing down to a stop at the event horizon. The astronaut would not see themselves freezing in time, but they would see everything outside o

Is non-self-hosting available for all of those things on Tangled? I don't want to run my own CI but I do want CI. I couldn't figure out if it was available last time I looked at Tangled.

They need changes to support it, but I don't expect it to take long. Both vkQuake and IronWail work well with the previous new official episode (Dimension of the Machine) and the remastered models after they were updated for that.

This is exciting! I've loved the idea of Durable Objects but I've disliked that there's no existing way to use them while scaling to multiple machines outside of Cloudflare.

The Gmail API works nicely like this. There's a history.list endpoint where you can see the recent history of message additions and removals, you can query for just the history that's taken place since a specific event's hist

Oh, GPT-3.5, recognizable in so many old screenshots by the green icon. If ever a popular model deserved the term "stochastic parrot", it was GPT-3.5. I wonder what percentage of people today still base their opinions of AI capabi

What do you find worse about it? I've been switching between it, Codex, and Claude Code to try to compare them, and my only conclusion so far has been that it's nice that Copilot has both OpenAI and Anthropic models as options.

The AI Enhancements section was interesting. I've been wondering about the best practices for agents interacting with long-running dev servers, and Astro 7's approach (run in background and have a logs command) seems like a good m

Is there any interpretation where Amazon is involved but for a reason besides trying to screw over Anthropic? I don't see why Amazon would act against Anthropic when they have a deal to offer Anthropic models on AWS.

If we already were at the point that AI could self-direct effectively, then the world would already be very different (eg AI-driven technological progress and unemployment) in a way that we might have wished we prepared for more.
