   The rightful distinction between a political story and a story with politicians involved, yes. This just feels part-way there, if you get my drift. I fully appreciate the focus on the details given by many here while avoiding the trap.

   Not sure what to think of this story. I would appreciate less political content on 'hacker/startup news.' That said there is no doubt what Hastings was working on would touch many in the tech community.
