Depends on the scale of users you expect for your project. Generally I like to keep oltp and olap tools in their lanes, but if < 100 people are going to be using it probably doesn't matter. I doubt duckdb has any sort of acid guaran

how does the application pick it up? We use the built in secrets that are injected into the container as env vars and then the application picks it up that way. Not trying to sound combative, just looking for better ways to do things.

sure, It's no doubt an arms race. The prevalance of websites going down due to scaling issues feels like order of magnitude less than it was 20 years ago though. Purely anecdotal with no real data to back that up.

20 years ago if a blog or website ended up on slashdot/digg/whatever there was a good chance it was going down. Scalable websites are a commodity today
