They’re clearly missing an opportunity here. My TV probably spends a whopping 20 hours a day turned off. Why settle for pumping out ads for the few moments it spends paused when there’s all that available screen time going wasted? How long

The date format and imperial/metric examples seem to me to be objectively better. Is driving on the right objectively better, or is it just a case of "more people do it that way"? Otherwise, why shouldn't everyone drive

I seem to recall it being an incentive to upgrade to the paid plan. If you were a free user you couldn't choose which song on an album to listen to, you could only kick off shuffling and hope the song you wanted to hear came up. If you

On a similar note there's also the wonderfully named Westward Ho! [1], exclamation mark included. On looking up the link for the above I learned it also shares an exclamation mark with the incredible Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! [2] in Quebe

I think a couple of Macintyre's other works even top The Spy and the Traitor in terms of "craziness". Particularly Agent Zigzag and Operation Mincemeat (out of those I've read). They're both thoroughly worth a read

Sounds like Telegram needs to implement a "message canary" where every message has a note attached saying something to the effect of; "Apple hasn't asked us to remove this message".
