I have the same issue on my Linux laptop. It seems like Firefox always maxes out at least one core when loading pages or rendering pages with certain video codecs. I'm guessing Chrome throttles its performance or maybe it's just m

If you use DuckDuckGo as your standard search engine you can also prepend "!mdn" to your search query to search MDN. This also works with any website wich supports search I think. Other good ones include "!hoogle", "

I have the exact same experience. Firefox on macOS is sluggish but on the same machine on Linux it's very responsive.
