   I'm not trolling here. The people I know who have been successful athletes developed as a result of discipline and hard work, not because of risk-taking, and certainly not to their own detriment.

   Yeah, look, I staggered into the ER with a shattered collar-bone and a shitload of missing skin, and 10 mg of oxy had me feeling pretty much FINE while a nurse took a coarse sponge to scrub the asphalt out of my wounds. Overprescribed, yes.

   Herpes wasn't considered a disease at the time. It was not pathologized until later.
