I get banned every day, else my account would be like 10 years old, haha. I am not accusing them of "nefarious" political motivations, I respect their right to push their own politics. I wish they were more transparent, though.

What you fail to understand is that the average layman doesn't care about data collection and ad tech. If it pisses you off that people don't care about the same things you do, welcome to politics.

"Make a PR" actually means "This seems not to be relevant enough for the current maintainers to do it, and if it feels important to you, you should write it yourself and post a patch", which is a good answer.

You can't, it's for Enterprise users. You can find a clean ISO and change the KMS server to a server that will always activate your copy of Windows. That way you can be sure there's no malware involved.

After a few minutes in the Group Policy Editor, most problems are solved permanently. Also, use the LTSC version, not the regular one.
