I disagree; not using ORMs isn't going to magically make developers write better queries, why not spend those few days training them to use the ORM better? Would you rather have raw SQL strewn about the codebase and have to worry about

If you don't have a product yet, following "best practises" is not a good use of time, especially if there's no consumer facing impact and if it takes you twice as long to do it. Unless you are developing niche hardware
