   In JS/TS, I use `undefined` for unset, then `true` and `false`.

    This was not the main reason though, I mentioned that as an well appreciated side-effect. The fact that Fastmail was a well known provider with a ton of flexibility, and a fast client helped a lot.

    I happily pay for Bitwarden, once tried Lastpass and it was horrible.

    tbh I think the whole point being user management as a service won't last long. eventually Firebase, Auth0 or Okta will implement this and there won't be any competitive advantage anymore.
