The last one:) I'm using client-side JS to create the image on a HTML canvas element and turning that DOM element into an image. Server-side rendering would be easier since you don't have to deal with browser compatibility issues

Reporting bugs and sharing designs on social media or in chat with friends or co-workers are very different use cases though. Screely is aimed at making the latter easier, SnagIt fixed the first one for you.
