The GPU in the PS4 is, essentially, an Nvidia 7900-class GPU. Anandtech recently did a comparison of old PC GPUs to current SOCs and the results are surprisingly close. - glasshead969 13y agoMinor correction: A7 SOC is cyclone not oscar. The article was updated. IMO cyclone is a apt name given benchmarks. oscar is name for M7.
- Impossible 13y agoThe PS4 GPU is significantly more powerful (orders of magnitude) than an Nvidia 7900 class GPU, unless you meant PS3 or Radeon 7900 series :).
