I guess Finland has strong geopolitical security motives here, to create more dependence of the US on them, like in Taiwan.
- motionlessveloc 6d agoNATO membership notwithstanding, I don't think anybody in Finland expects the US to ride to rescue if Russia invades.
- amelius 6d agoWhy not? It would be easier to justify than the current war in Iran.
- machomaster 5d agoIt would be incredibly easy to justify helping Ukraine against Putin's terrorism, yet here we are.
- an77i 5d agoFinland has no natural resources Russia needs. What they would like is little bit of buffer land for Saint Petersburg, that’s all.
