I don't like the "proudly made in USA" type marketing. It should not matter if the service is good.
- hobo123 11d agoI think local-first is a good heuristic in that it would avoid needless pushing of goods around the globe (or needless round-trips of lots of data around the globe). Also, some people might like it if a product or service was made in US, Switzerland, Germany, Italy etc... for purely personal reasons (feelings).
- po1nt 11d agoIt's the internet. We used to be proud that it's global. It used to be super cool to talk to people from other side of planet in real time.
- tgsovlerkhgsel 10d agoIn this case, it's less "proudly made in USA" and more "will likely remain available and legal to use for EU companies, even if the conflict between Trump and the rest of the world escalates"
