Am I the only one who knows people who always eagerly suggest places to eat when you visit but they have an absolute track record of suggesting expensive crappy restaurants? We almost always never go anywhere they suggest and instead go where they say they don't like and enjoy it immensely. These are the type to take you out when you visit and they also regret going anywhere they recommend.
