A disease can come from anywhere
Unless you're trying to imply that China engineered the whole thing - extraordinary claim that will require extraordinary evidence
- dudefeliciano 2mo agoThey did downplay the effects of covid and spread misinformation about it as well as silence the researches and journalists who were first trying to ring the alarm bells
- watwut 2mo agoAre you talking about Trump and conservatives here?
- dudefeliciano 2mo agoNope[1]. I am getting tired of people looking up to China just because the governments of Europe and US are completely fucked. China is no better. [1]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_misinformation_by_China https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_misinformation_by_Chi...
- oneshtein 2mo agoMy country did the same thing to me. :-/
- dormento 2mo agoMy very western country as well.
- t0bia_s 2mo agoImagine you have most expensive disease in human history by economy standpoint and after 6 years we have just claims of where it came from. Isn't that suspicious enough?
- flir 2mo agoWhere did Spanish Flu "come from"? Or HIV for that matter. We've got a fair idea where SARS-CoV-2 originated (horseshoe bats). It's the early path it took that's muddy.
- t0bia_s 2mo agoThere was no worldwide lockdowns because of HIV or Spanish Flu.
- flir 2mo agoI should make my point more explicit so you can't misunderstand it. > after 6 years we have just claims of where it came from. Isn't that suspicious enough? No it is not suspicious, because most zoonotic pandemics have murky origins - spillover events are rarely identified at anything better than the species level. For evidence I point to everything on this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_epidemics_and_pandemics https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_epidemics_and_pandemic... (starting with the bottom of the list, in case you come back with irrelevant comments about Roman technological progress).
- sirsinsalot 2mo agoTurn off Fox news
- t0bia_s 2mo ago/US centrist Never turned on and probably never will.
- AlexeyBelov 2mo ago> US centrist I only see conservative (putting it very very mildly) in your comments.
