- HappyPanacea 5mo agoI'm not sure why you specified nation-states when this is just as likely to happen in any state.
- logicchains 5mo agoLike me they probably assumed nation-state was just another word for state.
- culi 5mo agoI wasn't actually trying to distinguish away from states but rather from nations. I understand "nation" to have a specific meaning centered around sovereignty within indigenous scholarship. I should've just used "state" but I didn't think it'd sound as edgy
- baq 5mo agoA nation state is a corporation with a monopoly on violence

- wangjie000 5mo agoBut they are not suspected of any crime.
- RobotToaster 5mo agoIsn't violating export controls a crime? (Also in the US you can still be prevented from leaving the country for a tort (civil matter))
