  In this case I believe it is warranted. I fully support OP's emotional take. HN has been hit with lots of runoff from these reddit-dwelling mouthbreathers lately and it's turned this place into a downvote machine for any comment not towing the populist anti-intellectual party line.

      Would you dignify timecube with a measured response? I wouldn't - I would call it out for the drivel it is, assign it the ridicule it rightfully deserves, and move on, as I have done here.
