Market share is irrelevant to apple. Market share can be bought if you throw enough money at it (See Microsoft's and Nokia's attempts). As the only people making money from mobile is Samsung and Apple I doubt apple care about market share stats. The iTunes eco system is there to sell hardware not to make apple tons of money.
