This shows the author’s lack of experience in working with AI on something they’re great at.
AI is great for experts (all the productivity gains, no tolerance for the bullshit)
AI is great for newbies (you can do the thing!!)
A more interesting take would be on the struggle to go from newbie to expert in a field dominated by AI. We’re too early to know how to do this.
Of course AI-first is the future. We’re just still learning how to do it right.
- dullcrisp 1y agoI think if you’re such an expert at something that you need AI to do it for you then that’s a good opportunity to hand it off to someone more junior.
- jmtulloss 1y agoIt’s probably not productive for a human to do work that AI can do well. Of course the trick is figuring out how to identify and verify that work. Experts can do this quickly.
- krosaen 1y agoAgree. His argument is clever though in that if you disagree, you may appear like you think you are good at something that you are actually bad at :)
