DOGE's AI Push at the Department of Veterans Affairs
- thomasmost 1y agoIncredible stuff. "Instead of using a content management system for our content management, what if we used GitHub??"
- danhon 1y ago"In a GitHub ticket viewed by WIRED, Lavingia also suggested abandoning Drupal, a content management system (CMS) that the VA uses for publishing updates and information about the agency and the services it provides on VA facility websites. “I think we should consider removing Drupal as part of our workflow, and all content should just live in the codebase,” he wrote." https://archive.is/2025.04.05-020504/https://www.wired.com/story/doge-department-of-veterans-affairs-ai/ https://archive.is/2025.04.05-020504/https://www.wired.com/s...

- _KT 1y agoOnly coders have knowledge, clearly.
- KMcGrane 1y agoIf you wanted to destroy the VA, putting all the content in the code would be a good way to do it.

- rsynnott 1y agoBloody hell. “What if we put random idiots in charge of massive, critical government functions” is a hell of an experiment.
- xrd 1y agoCoders jumping into DOGE shows that they are the only group that can match the narcissism of Trump sycophants. I can't believe that Sahil would be so stupid to think that switching to GitHub wasn't something suggested by many other peiple there, people who toiled long and hard for less pay. What a stain on Sahil's legacy. He won't make a difference here but I'll remember him forever primarily because of this ridiculous involvement.
