A Desktop Monitor for 2025
- mnky9800n 2y agoI have the apple display pro and while I agree it's ridiculously priced it seems to be the only thing worth looking at.
- talldayo 2y agoOut of curiosity; how many other displays did you try? Did you give any similarly-sized OLEDs a shot?
- mnky9800n 2y agoi also have this samsung curved oled and umm a samsung flat oled and tbh i still like the apple even though those are both bigger. i think partially because it has all the other features like the camera and the sound system but also, it just looks crisper on the apple monitor then anything else.
- talldayo 2y agoInteresting, in my experience the difference between Apple's MicroLED and OLED are night-and-day. OLED has better contrast ratios, faster response times, and generally better HDR presentation. For gaming, movies and color-grading I feel like OLED always has the nicer resolve. The only real advantage MicroLED can boast is cost, and ludicrously bright HDR.
- jagger27 2y agoImportant correction: it’s mini-LED backlit IPS displays. MicroLED isn’t in production yet. Apple’s biggest OLED display is on the iPad Pro. If they shipped the iPad Pro’s 120Hz display tech in a 27-inch Studio Display I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
