- unethical_ban 2y agoRespecting the wishes of the subject of the image has nothing to do with diversity statements. Maybe it's right to retire the image if she doesn't like it being used, but shame on IEEE for turning into a sham diversity stunt.
- ecmascript 2y agoAs I've mentioned above, I did read the article but I don't see how it makes a difference.
- ecmascript 2y agoI know, I read the article. So what? She got paid for the image (according to the article) and she was a model. If you sell a picture to me you can't come back 40 years later demanding me to stop using it just because it was successful, even if the picture is of you. People accuse me of not reading, while seemingly not reading the entire thing themselves.
