Because Valve doesn't have an insane amount of employees and since it is not critical software, the downtime is fine.

- jamie1np 3y agoI think it depends on your definition of “fine.” No one will die or even be particularly inconvenienced from not being able to play a particular game for a couple of hours at the same time every week. Steam alone has hundreds of thousands of other games that ARE available at that time.
