[Broken - Undeployed] Show HN: AI Judges Your Spotify
- thejohnconway 3y agoThe website won’t scroll, so I can’t get to what I assume is the operational part. Safari on and iPhone 12, running whatever the latest OS is.
- trescenzi 3y agoYup it’s probably set to a height of 100vh and isn’t taking into account the safe-area-inset-bottom.
- pablo24602 3y agoAbsolute overlook on my part- thank you for pointing this out.
- qeternity 3y agoFunny idea, but crashed for me after a couple interactions. I listed to a lot of crappy music but the LLM thinks I listen to a lot of Taylor Swift, which I actually don't.
- pablo24602 3y agoYeah, looks like I didn't have API access past a 60 users for Spotify so it's only showing the default responses (which crash most of the functionality)- apologies!
- jonplackett 3y agoGreat idea. I was going to make something like this. Quick webpage faux pas though - on my iPhone I cannot press the button at the bottom, it is off the page annoying iPhone css issue that often happens because height:100vh will be the height including the navigation at the bottom. I don’t know why Apple made it like this. It is such a pain in the ass.
- fredthedeadhead 3y ago> You've listened to a shitty song a lot. I don't know what song it means, the link is broken https://www.yourmusictastesucks.com/google.com https://www.yourmusictastesucks.com/google.com
- pablo24602 3y agoVery sorry- ran into limits of Spotify so app is currently broken for new users.
- falcor84 3y agoThe Pudding already did something like this two years ago: https://pudding.cool/2021/10/judge-my-music/ https://pudding.cool/2021/10/judge-my-music/
- mckirk 3y agoWhenever it links me to a 'shitty song' I've apparently listened to, that link just 404s. Also, my favorite artist definitely isn't Taylor Swift, lol.
- koryk 3y agoI think it may have a bug and is reverting to default responses. Got the same thing.
- graycat 3y agoSince don't have a Spotify account, can't try the program! But you mentioned Taylor Swift!!! With good makeup, clothes, lighting, expression, and photography, she's, we just have to admit, as they say, "drop dead gorgeous". Taste in music related to computing??? Actually at present I'm pretty deep into that and later will have more to say here on Hacker News. But for now a few simple samples: With some dancing and more pretty females: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7b5YWRQP0U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7b5YWRQP0U No dancing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us3NFFJhFPg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us3NFFJhFPg With some geography: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5zg_af9b8c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5zg_af9b8c With some more dancing with some pretty girls and some socially awkward boys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh0YErvF4yI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh0YErvF4yI No dancing. Just a still image: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbugsVd10gA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbugsVd10gA with some vocal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkHGUaB1Bs8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkHGUaB1Bs8 Another pretty one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBBL-t7CKbU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBBL-t7CKbU She's both pretty and good with violin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kS-W3lfcVvY&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kS-W3lfcVvY&feature=youtu.be Just the ending: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRCe86HVSJw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRCe86HVSJw Maybe the second movement is the best part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNZqy3FxvhQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNZqy3FxvhQ The original was just for solo violin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEUYq5t-cCM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEUYq5t-cCM The original piano version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZsqnHhyub0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZsqnHhyub0 and an orchestral version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-At9tWyrLs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-At9tWyrLs The prelude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k41D9por6c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k41D9por6c More pretty females and some music! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rJoB7y6Ncs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rJoB7y6Ncs From Chicago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNezfBxBiQo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNezfBxBiQo Fantasy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ffdkY0896k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ffdkY0896k Part of a story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ffdkY0896k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ffdkY0896k
- albertzeyer 3y agoLots of errors? > You've listened to a shitty song a lot. "a shitty song" links to 404. > Looks like your favorite band might be Taylor Swift. I'm quite sure that Taylor Swift is nowhere in my play log. > I guess that a shitty song is pretty good Same 404. And then I just get: > Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). In the console, I see lots of errors: > Uncaught (in promise) SyntaxError: Unexpected token 'U', "User not r"... is not valid JSON > TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'album') I assume the Spotify login did not fully work correctly? But it got my name correct in the beginning.
- Hakeemmidan 3y agoI had the same experience
- pablo24602 3y agoThank you for letting me know; you're absolutely right- it's not working at all now for new users, my app hasn't yet been approved to leave Spotify's development mode- https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/concepts/quota-modes https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/concepts..., so the top/tracks and top/artists endpoint which I'm using to fetch data aren't functional. Very embarrassing on my end- wish I had more than 1 Spotify account so I could verify the API was working for new users before posting- my apologies.
- replete 3y agoDeveloper judges your app Whoah, You've made a shitty app! It doesn't work! google.com
- jefozabuss 3y agoWe need an AI that judges AI apps so we can go full circle and judge itself as well
- terminous 3y agoIt's official: SQL group by queries are considered "AI" now.
- terminous 3y agoThe Privacy Policy is deceptive. It says: > I'm not collecting any of your data. Now go back and get your music taste judged. The site obviously is collecting your data. How else would it know your Spotify history? Now, it could say "I'm not storing, selling, or sharing any of your data except to you on your results page," which could be more accurate.
- pablo24602 3y agoVery fair point- will update to be more technically accurate.
- firechickenbird 3y agoBroken
