Google Removes FAQ from Its Search Results Page
- zb3 3y agoOh, so Google search is about to get even worse. But that's good, the sooner the better.
- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoNo, I think this is a good thing. Google's "quick results" which are supposed to help searchers before we navigate away, have been plagued with misinformation and threat actors attempting to game the results. A lot of it was ganked from Wikipedia directly, fraught with peril in the usual ways. If Google limits these answers to Gov-based bodies, then more searchers will navigate away to the pages they searched for. Even if these are low-quality results, at least the provenance of answers will be apparent.
- zb3 3y agoI thought this had more to do with increasing SEO traffic. But my point was that Google search is so spammed that it can't be made useful ever again.
