I knew the storyline I wanted roughly and used a lot of prompting and re-prompting and some editing to get what I was looking for. It was surprisingly hard to get GPT-4 to make the ending dark, the RLHF was very clearly steering it towards coming up with last minute changes of mind or plot twists that made the ending happy.
- andrewfromx 4y agoVery well written. This is the future of human authorship. Humans paired with AI help make the best final text possible. I predict a controversy in the future where a famous author is outted for having used AI when claiming they didn’t. Like steroid use. Every author will do it now but some will lie about using.
- MagnusHambleton 4y agoThank you! Yes I agree, filtering and curation is the future of creation I think!
- dougmwne 4y agoNice work! This was very engaging. I could tell there was a human hand at work, though it’s extra spooky not knowing just how much has come from the machine.
- MagnusHambleton 4y agoThank you! Yes honestly it was very creepy sometimes what it generated, it was very responsive to the style of my prompt.
