I'm also in the EU and checked this (very well-hidden) option for the first time after reading the thread - and it is defaulted to off.
Yet more evidence for the usefulness of GDPR. At times like this I'm genuinely grateful for these EU regulations that protect the individual against the encroachment of corporations on their private lives and personal data.

- illiac786 4y agoI’m EU and it was enabled. I normally always disable such options, hence I am quite certain I did not enable it myself.

- illiac786 4y agoAgreed, I'm trying to see if there's anything in my profile that could have been confusing, but I'm a paying customer so they definitely have the correct country on record for me and I'm paying in €.
