Show HN: Pixletters – Word guessing puzzle game where used pixels give you clues
- garyfirestorm 4y agoIn the instructions I think there is an error. It highlights ‘F’ halfway green and in next step it turns out that letter should be ‘E’. Isn’t F subset of E except for missing bottom horizontal piece? Why isn’t the whole F highlighted as green.
- pipnonsense 4y agoFirst guess only shows the top line match. Second guess shows the two top lines match. And so it goes.
- garyfirestorm 4y agoah makes sense now
- mdp2021 4y agoThe "Enter" may not work everywhere...
- xeonmc 4y agoI think "FIRES" gives you the best toprow hint
- detrites 4y ago"TITER" for one more pixel.
- soneca 4y agoI feel FIFTY gives a bit more info. I like having all the top corners
- 0cVlTeIATBs 4y agoFITTE is playable.
- blatherard 4y agoFEEZE gives a full top row.

- CGamesPlay 4y agoWow, after using this word I got 6 in a row of pack 1 in exactly 2 guesses.
- xeonmc 4y agoUsing it gave me this https://i.imgur.com/zHj0eX2.png https://i.imgur.com/zHj0eX2.png
- CGamesPlay 4y agoPretty fun. It would be nice if it colored the pixels on the keyboard letters to match your known hints (e.g. when my guess was F but the letter is P, then when I am on the appropriate column, the T in the keyboard should have 4 green and 1 red pixels on its top row).
- danw1979 4y agointeresting concept… I skipped the wordy instructions and found it intuitive. really nicely done, lovely UI (apart from the enter key on the left).
