Why aren’t the male chicks raised and used as food? Is it only chickens that we use for consumption?
- Scaevolus 4y agoThere are separate breeds of chickens raised for eggs and meat. Male layers can't compete with meat chickens, growing >2x slower, and are mostly worthless apart from the few roosters needed to breed the next generation of layers.
