It's true, I/O is no longer the bottleneck.
The bottleneck now is interviewers who think they have the knowledge and expertise, but do not. However their authoritative position ends up distorting everything, and then said person blogs about it and causes even more problems.

- YetAnotherNick 4y agoMost people don't build their program for NVMe drives, but for cloud. Try benchmarking it in regular instance in AWS/GCP using default SSD and you will know that what interviewees said is true, as they are likely not building it to run a program in "your" laptop.
