- DonHopkins 4y agoHeeeee's baaaaaack. So keep your Twitter account active and ready for the "Big Flush"! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-says-donald-trump-reinstated-twitter/ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-says-donald-trump-rei... There used to be a prank people would play back in the day when the Johnny Carson show was live on the air: everybody would flush their toilets at the exact time the announcer said "Here's Johnny!" to simultaneously blow out the water and sewage system. How about orchestrating a protest DDOS of Twitter like that, where everybody tweets as hard and as often as they can the first time Trump tweets some bullshit on his reinstated account. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDpipB4yehk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDpipB4yehk
- coffeeblack 4y agoGood idea, so I can quickly block the ideological spammers who hate diversity of thought. I prefer the new open and divers Twitter, thank you.
- DonHopkins 4y agoIf by "diversity of thought" you mean you want to block people who hate calls to violence and lies and racism and antisemitism and misogyny and homophobia and transphobia and Islamophobia and Christian Nationalism and white supremecy and Russian propoganda and good old fashioned right wing hate speech. But you be you. Funny how somebody who claims to love "the new open and divers [sic] Twitter" is so obsessed with blocking as many people as possible. Happy dumpster diving. Back to PHIL101 with you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance
- coffeeblack 4y agoMost calls to violence I see on Twitter and irl come from the left, so for most racism these days. The switch happened about 7 or 8 years ago and was surprisingly sudden. Took me some years to realize it (I was a “lefty” all my life).
- DonHopkins 4y agoSo you think it was AntiFa who stormed the capitol after Trump called for a violent insurrection, huh?
- coffeeblack 4y agoHe didn’t. The speech is available on YouTube, his calls for peaceful and lawful demonstration are now back on Twitter. Don’t believe lies of the media, look at the original sources. Eye opening.
- DonHopkins 4y agoSo if you were a "lefty" all your life, then when and why did you suddenly decide to be so tolerant and condoning of racism and antisemitism and misogyny, and decide to start spreading lies in support of violence and hatred? You know you're lying too, and you're not arguing in good faith, just gaslighting. See my reply and dataloper's reply to Duckfeathers, because it also applies to you. You've demonstrated that your arguments are insincere and deceptive and not worth responding to, because you're a liar.
- DuckFeathers 4y agoThis is not even on topic... but I have some off-topic advice for you. People don't like being lied to... so they will go very far to continue to believe in the lies they have believed. You were lied to about Trump. It was election time. Their candidate was shit. They did what they had to. It had nothing to do with you. You were duped, just like millions of others. Let go.
- DonHopkins 4y agoNo need to put it in the passive voice (unless you for some reason want to obscure who was actually performing the action). Trump lied to everyone about Trump, and Trump lied and continues to lie about the results of the election, and Trump called for a violent insurrection and attack on the US Capitol. There, fixed it for you. See? Who performed the action is now much more clear now that you've learned to avoid using the passive voice unless you have something to hide. https://www.grammarly.com/blog/passive-voice https://www.grammarly.com/blog/passive-voice
- DuckFeathers 4y ago> Trump lied to everyone about Trump True. > and Trump lied and continues to lie about the results of the election True. > and Trump called for a violent insurrection and attack on the US Capitol. No evidence of that, this is one example of which they lied to you about. Politicians lie to peasants, they scare them to try to get to power. They have already forgotten their lies and are manufacturing new lies to dupe you in the future. Maybe you believed it too much and made it a part of you that you presented to the world... so you feel the need to defend their lies... which they themselves will not care about as soon as they have newer lies to tell you. They know this very well, in fact they bank on it. Again, you were duped once, like millions of people on both sides are at all times. You can let it go.
- datalopers 4y ago> No evidence of that [1] https://www.npr.org/2022/07/13/1111341161/how-trumps-will-be-wild-tweet-drew-rioters-to-the-capitol-on-jan-6 https://www.npr.org/2022/07/13/1111341161/how-trumps-will-be... - SillyUsername 4y agoLooks like somebody just gave Elon a primer/overview on how the system works under the hood. You'd have thought his due diligence would have covered that already.
