Motto: Unsafe languages allow mostly-safe implementations
- twotwotwo 4y agoTitle change? The linked content is fine but the submitted title ("Motto: Unsafe languages allow mostly-safe implementations") doesn't appear anywhere in it.
- asdftemp 4y agosorry about the misleading title choice; it’s quoted from the author’s homepage in reference to this work: https://www.humprog.org/~stephen/ https://www.humprog.org/~stephen/ also, could be marked [2017]
- cryptonector 4y agoThanks for the link!
- cryptonector 4y agoYes please. The submitted title is very opinionated (even if it states a derisory opinion that I agree with) and it hides the utility of TFA. TFA's title is `libcrunch: run-time type- and bounds-checking for C (and maybe other languages...)`, which is plenty useful enough, and also useful enough for me to immediately form an opinion like submitter's.
- nerdponx 4y ago"libcrunch: run-time type- and bounds-checking for C" seems like a good title.

- Joker_vD 4y agoConsidering that "mostly-safe" is just an euphemism for "unsafe", the motto is quite funny if a but tautological.
