Is Cheese Good for You?
- ffsoftboiled 4y agoThe article starts with the false notion that LDL cholesterol (Which type - there are two) increase heart disease risk. This is proven false time and time again. I eat cheese as part of my woe without much issue.
- metadat 4y agoI eat a lot of cheese as well, and my blood work indicates this is quite good for me. Anyone have different experience?
- hombre_fatal 4y agoLDL’s relationship with heart disease is the prevailing hypothesis supported by the vast majority of the literature. You’d need to provide convincing evidence against that. Though, LDL tends to be the smoke while ApoB is the fire, they tend to track close enough together to where you aren’t going to see high LDL numbers yet optimal ApoB levels. That’s just wishful thinking which is why LDL skepticism is limited to a few online diet cults and nocarb quacks.
- luckman212 4y agoYeah, those pesky quacks at the BMJ[0], always peddling their cultish nonsense. /s [0]: https://www.bmj.com/company/newsroom/doubt-cast-on-wisdom-of-targeting-bad-cholesterol-to-curb-heart-disease-risk/ https://www.bmj.com/company/newsroom/doubt-cast-on-wisdom-of...
