- king_magic 4y agoIncredible news for Upstate NY.
- thehappypm 4y agoI think it’s one of the great untapped regions of America, and all signs are pointing towards it booming in the future. Proximity to major markets: excellent access to NYC, Boston, Buffalo, Philadelphia markets and more Weather: bad, but improving with global warming and minimally negatively impacted (drought resistant, no coasts to flood) Outdoors: Adirondacks, finger lakes, tons of gorges and waterfalls and such Education: tons of colleges (Cornell, Colgate, SUNY, Ithaca, Hamilton, Syracuse)
- nxm 4y agoBad: High taxes and burdensome regulations
- lrx 4y agoFalse. Not bad enough to discourage a potential $100B semiconductor factory.
- killingtime74 4y agoI don’t know either way but it’s probable they got big tax breaks in this case
- thehappypm 4y agoWhat are some examples of burdensome regulations? As I understand it it’s a major hub for fracking, which doesn’t make sense with it being burdensome
- killingtime74 4y agoIt’s interesting a company with a market cap of under $60B and under $30B annual revenue can pledge so much. I guess that’s finance for you
- thoughtstheseus 4y agoThat’s the Foundry business. Huge capital expenditures to build Fabs.
