It's a good question. Since they disabled the automatic deployment it has been causing some issues and I'm revalidating using Heroku. The main reason is the ease of use Would you suggest something alternative? AWS?

I don't know in terms of pricing. But I moved a couple of free heroku apps to fly.io and it was pretty smooth. They provide a migration guide specific to people moving out of heroku.
