Nah Rust evangelism is pretty organic. I remember it having a cult 6 years ago too, before any of these companies got involved.

It would be naive to think that evangelism is still genuine grass roots, in the same way that it's naive to think the stuff on your FB feed reflects what your friends find interesting and worth sharing.
