I have personally saved _thousands_ of dollars in addition to hours of my life not having to commute.
There's an element of seriousness in your sarcastic comment for more than just companies.
- chippy 6y agoThe hours of your life saved not commuting will instead be used to work. Think of the savings, seriously, not even sarcasm.

- johnghanks 6y agoY'all need to log off at 8 hours worked. I used to work 8:30 - 4:30 (read: get up at 7, shower, bus at 8, in work at 8:30). Now I work 7 - 3 most days (literally roll out of bed and sit down at my desk). If I'm tired, I'll snooze my alarm for an hour and work 8 - 4. My life is significantly better working from home.
- Polylactic_acid 6y agoHow? I start and finish at exactly the same time as in office and after hours I am not contactable other than a phone call which has never happened.

- dalyons 6y agoAnd I have spent many thousands more renting more space for my WFH office (upgrading our 1bdr) that normally my work would be paying for
