It should work fine, with one item to note: I believe SqlAlchemy defaults to READ-COMMITTED, whereas TiDB defaults to (and recommends) MySQL's default of REPEA

I believe SqlAlchemy defaults to READ-COMMITTED, whereas TiDB defaults to (and recommends) MySQL's default of REPEATABLE-READ.
