What about Nintendo? Same color scheme, gets them in the gaming console business.
- uptown 16y agoDoesn't make sense to me. They've already got their own game platform, and devices that are connected to the TV. Why try to integrate a completely different platform into a gaming ecosystem that's already thriving?
- TeHCrAzY 16y agoPerhaps talent + innovation?
- Keyframe 16y agoNot likely. Bill Gates offered 'name your price' and a golden pony to them, but old Yamauchi declined the sale. Apparently, japanese companies tied to national identity are impossible to buy (for foreigners at least).
- jdavid 16y agolink? i'd love to see the journalism on this.
- Keyframe 16y agoI don't have any - I've read it in 'Game Over' book about nintendo, though if you google around for 'microsoft buying nintendo' there are a slew of stories about it.
- Keyframe 16y agoI remember this: http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1027928/how-nintendo-boss-silenced-steve-ballmer http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1027928/how-nintend... it's humorous, but not true - although it was widely reported.
- mdemare 16y agoA golden pony is worth about $440M, maybe he should have offered a golden dragon.
