I didn't read the whole article, but from what I had read - I disagree with. Yes, Git has complex UI but so does Microsoft Word - if you want to be efficient at using those, you need to spent some time learning.

I think it all depends how you define winning here. Based on popularity alone - yeah, MySQL is still the king. Based on capabilities - I think it's fair to say that pgSQL is more capable and it's just that not everybody needs that
