Political correctness run amok! My company has now official guidelines that discourage 'whitelist' and 'blacklist' in new features, but I wonder how long before they make everyone go back and refactor these names. Git &#

I'm curious, how ridiculous? I'm not at FANG but I've considered making the jump. But good luck to you. There are always game companies you can go work at for a lot less!

Dark mode is my favorite and I appreciate more apps and websites adding support. Recently I've seen Slack and Perforce finally get official dark themes. For websites that don't have good dark themes or user styles, you can use the

I don't understand how he could contribute to the field of AGI research from home, by himself, and maybe with his son. It's the kind of problem that requires incredible amounts of data, hardware, and theory to make any progress. W

I can't imagine what it would be like, and I'm terribly sorry that this happened to you. BUT what's the limiting principle behind 'forcing' companies to provide 'a great deal of leave' for this? I certainl

“Boys, do you want to do some action in front of the camera?” they said the Russian journalists asked them. Mr. Saleh later took a Danish journalist to meet two of the young men. After searching online, they recognized the logo of the Russ

Perhaps a different way of asking the question is 'will the rich be buying the best genes?' And the answer is 'yes' because they already are, in limited ways. But we may be overlooking the breadth of the 'rich'

Medium is now limiting the number of posts one can read before signing up with a Google or Facebook account. Is there a reasonable workaround for this that doesn't require signing in? EDIT: I suppose private browsing works well.
