I wasn't a fan of it about 3 years ago before I had to work with them daily at my job. Now when a user brings in a laptop that doesn't have a touchscreen I tend to smudge the display because touchscreens are so damn useful.

I agree with this. There was a time where smart TVs were useful but it is dying out. The other big issue with Smart TVs is they try to put the lowest powered SoC in that they can and tiny amounts of RAM. They should all just be monitors now
