I actually prefer this feature, and even searched for a similar option in Firefox. Either way, it can be easily disabled in the Chrome settings by toggling the 'Merge tabs and apps' option.

You can also use your 10 fingers to instantly multiply by 9s. Spread out your fingers. Number them from 1 to 10, left to right (i.e. left-hand little finger = 1). For 9 * 7, simply curl finger 7 downwards. Now you have 6 fingers on the left

QuickTime on OSX has a nice feature to quickly move forwards and backwards when watching a video--just swipe horizontally with two fingers to the left or right. It's a little flaky at times, but works for the most part.
