   seems to me that once apps get big enough they're able to sidestep the apple tax completely. I wonder why they don't try some kind of graduated model that starts at 30% and drops to 10% once there are enough subscriptions. I feel

   it wasn't clear to me trying to skim the video, but is this the strategy where you add an app from safari to the home screen? That was always clunky and I don't think you can get notifications that way

   I don't see how they would've had the SDK released in 9 months (and the App Store in 13) after the first iPhone if it wasn't in the plans (at least partially) the entire time.

    I don't think they released the App Store because people asked for it. It just wasn't ready on launch day (or would've had any apps in it)

    Do you use Babel to polyfill JS? Minify? Concatenate? You’re transpiling. And not much more than TS. There is very little logic change that TS does and most of it is essentially the same as what Babel would do for polyfill reasons.
