There's still no incentive here to keep tags at a minimum. What if you'd use the lowest upvote score of all tags, for all tags? Optionally corrected for sub size. So min(corrected(upvotes in #formula1), corrected(upvotes in #funny

To get two conversations it could just be posted twice with different tags? It's then up to the poster to decide in that case, not sure if that solves your problem.

I wonder how big the network effect is for Reddit. From a personal perspective it's nonexistent. There is a critical mass, for sure, and that may be just as hard to overcome, which makes it perhaps a bit less all-or-nothing.

I find the thought of minimalism interesting, and we don't buy endless crap and try to get rid of things every now and then, but then again, if it's Christmas we've got a few boxes with decorations, if I go camping we've

My base stack is comparable. I have all sorts of Zigbee devices on an RPI + RaspBee, and Shelly devices behind my wall switches. However, I use Node-RED on top of that. Many things are available as plugin (MQTT, Deconz, daylight, database,

Slightly related but I once got a 'behind the scenes' of a bowling alley, I was amazed to see (not sure if still the case, could very well be) how 'analog' the whole machinery was, with a big wheel and lots of mechanical

The heredity of intelligence actually depends on the environment. Those high percentages you mention only emerge in a 'stable' environment. That's not saying that people can grow (far) beyond their genetic makeup, but the opp

Is that irony really just a defining characteristic of gezellig? Thinking of 'leuk', or 'lekker dan', 'joepie', 'mooi is dat', and probably many others, or in English 'great', 'just per

To me, gezellig(heid) could never happen without the company of others, as opposed to leuk and lekker (the latter being the biggest outlier to me, just describing food or perhaps physical attractiveness of a person).

I'm interested! I've noticed exactly this. But also even with regular use I've had times where the stack and thus required study time was just ever increasing. This is probably a mix of too many new cards plus high difficulty

And even the stuff that doesn't go bad easily seems to pile up, multiple types of rice, shapes of pasta, cous cous, noodles. I know it is a bit of a luxury problem, but it is one nevertheless.

Well, hi, here's one. Once a week we (my GF and I) quickly pick 5 meals (Netherlands, HelloFresh). If it comes in we spent 5-10 minutes checking and organising and then we have food for most of the week. Since we have a 6-month old bab

First time we tried with a regular cable. After many attempts, the computer store explained to us kids the concept of a null modem. We bought one on the spot and it has provided us sooo much fun over the years. Money very well spent.

The term missing in this story, although described between the lines almost perfectly, as I see it, is willpower. There's a book about it with the same title.

Personally I find the styling in the link you posted sub-par to be 'serene'. These are the first I noticed, for what my n=1 is worth. I think VR could (some day) work very well for this too. I like the idea of a virtual cabin on a

Not at 100 hrs yet but fastlane is getting there. I set it up for making screenshots, building, sending to slack & submitting an app to App and Play Store. Saves time by minimising boring work, double win.

I doubt it, as I n++ your n=1 by experience, but also since I think it shouldn't be hard, electronics wise, to stop charging once full (or even, optionally, 80% / 90%) and fully run on AC as long as it's available. Also I
