Google AI is wrong too often that fact checking the AI's answer is becoming more work than just searching the answers myself.

What VR is lacking is content. Apple needs to make a user friendly 360 camera in an approachable price range. I take a 360 camera whenever I travel and rewatching 360 videos in a VR headset can put me back in time. Being able to relive the

So looks like FCC is implementing some new rules to protect against SIM swapping and that's taking effect on July 8, 2024. Though from the press release, I'm not quite sure if that'll protect the customer from a carrier emplo

I assume many companies are using Twilio for their SMS OTP auth. Does that mean Twilio has a financial interest in steering users away from using Authy?

It doesn't even have to be waterproof to prevent 99% water damage cases. It just needs to be water resistant against liquid pours from the top, like how a car can withstand rain.

250K is -23.15°C. I happened to search Moscow weather today and it's -23°C ~ -26°C. So not quite room temperature but it's outside temperature in some cities.

What's interesting is McDonald's HQ owns the real estate of many McDonald's locations and takes rent from the franchisee. This way they can guarantee a steady stream of income regardless of their food sales. I'm not sure

Preferred shareholders can be VCs who are usually not directly responsible for the bankruptcy. Also, WeWork is a public company so common shareholder can really be anybody, not necessarily all employees.

We're talking about Chapter 11 here, which means the plane has already crashed and the court is deciding who gets what on what is left of the plane, which could still be somewhat valuable. People with golden parachutes already jumped o

It's a Chapter 11 bankruptcy so likely they're not all shutting down. Some locations will probably renegotiate the lease term with the landlords and the profitable ones will stay open. With the office vacancy rate rising, I'm

One of the reasons why people get excited about room temperature superconductor is because it can make MRI imaging very cheap. Currently cooling the superconductors in the MRI machine is a significant part of the cost.

In the early 90s, Prof. Choi theorized a new way of creating a room temperature superconductor but it wasn't really accepted by the mainstream. Supposedly, in 1999, two researchers in Choi's lab, Lee and Kim (hence LK), created th

With the current fabrication process, they're only getting a chunk with LK-99 particles sprinkled in. Since nobody yet knows how to fabricate a pure chunk of LK-99, it'll be hard to measure the true resistance of LK-99.
