Take an example you scaled down and 1000x1000px image to 100x100px and then scaled it up back to 1000x1000px. In the process you lost a lot of info on the image. PS solves that by using Smart Objects, Krita by Transform Masks, GIMP? Nope

Porting to linux isn't worth it. Cause most of the people who would switch are existing customers. And with the CC model it is never going to happen

Krita started as an image editing tool, but now it is tool which you you would use for creating stuff from scratch, and not mainly for editing Photos or manipulating images, :D

It shouldn't take more than an hour, of course you just need to change an entry. But I fear I have heard complaints of i3 not liking the plasma panels but that was under different compositors, should work fine under compton, :D P.S: Y
