It’s not a matter of a few hundred dollars a day. It’s a matter of whether the decision to replace workers is NPV positive. It’s clearly only so up until the point they are at now with the kiosks.

Most of the information is not public, there are a number of HBS cases with relevant data but they are all behind paywalls. If you do the math, it's clear that ebitda margin improvement, top line growth, and multiple expansion have a m

Indeed, revenue multiples are dangerous. I’m guessing they bought it at a significant ebitda multiple making the deal sweet for the sellers. However, the private equity MO is going to be value creation through margin improvement. When they

As a vim to excel user I’ve always wanted to create an addon that maps vim hotkeys to excel. My only fear is that I’d get too used to it and not be able to use any machine that I sit down at.

Excel for Mac does not support multiple cores and has a much more limited set of hotkeys, along with a more limited universe of addons.

Nothing in my MBA curriculum has taught me that low margins are bad, just that low margins with high capital intensity is bad. At the same time, absolute numbers are critical and should be analyzed independently from margin.
